Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

1 cup of brown sugar

1/3 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tspn vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tspn baking powder

1 tspn baking soda

¾ tspn kosher salt

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation:

  1. Using a mixer, cream together the butter and sugars.
  2. Mix in the eggs one at a time then add the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Slowly mix the flour mixture into the butter and sugar mixture. Next, mix in the chocolate chips. Cover the cookie dough mixture and refrigerate for one to two hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Place parchment paper on your baking sheet/pan. Portion out 2 tbsp of dough for each cookie. Space out the cookies so that each baking pan holds 6 to 8 cookies.
  7. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Cookies are done when they start to turn dark-brown around the edges.
  8. Let cookies cool. Store in an air-tight container.
