Banana Bread Recipe

If you have some left over bananas that you want to use up, try this easy banana bread recipe. It makes about 4 loaves of moist and delicious banana bread.

Ingredients:

pan coating:

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 tspn ground cinnamon

bread:

¾ cup butter

3 cups granulated sugar

3 eggs

6 very ripe bananas, mashed

1 16 oz container of sour crem

2 tspn vanilla extract

2 tspn ground cinnamon

½ tspn salt

3 tspn baking powder

4 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease 4 to 5 bread pans. In a small bowl, mix together ¼ cup granulated sugar and 1 tspn cinnamon. Use this mixture to dust the sides of the bread pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and 3 cups of sugar. Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, vanilla, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix together the salt, baking soda, and flour. Slowly add the flour mixture to the banana mixture.
  3. Divide the batter into the pans.
  4. Bake 1 hour or until 1 toothpick inserted comes out clean.
